Dennis Thorfinnson

Plant Engineer

Thorfinnson, a mechanical engineer III, started at Dry Fork Station on Oct. 27, 2009. Originally from Red Lake Falls, MN, he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Minnesota – Morris in 1981 and master’s degrees in chemical engineering and business administration from the University of North Dakota in 1986. Thorfinnson formerly worked as lead/senior performance engineer – plant chemist at PacifiCorp’s Wyodak Generation Station. He and wife Kris have two children: Tanner, 18, and Hannah, 15. He enjoys passing the time by watching Jamestown Jimmie soccer and Gillette Camel swimming. His hobbies include family travel, home improvement, woodworking, firearm collecting, hunting and golf.
