Criminal Background checks will be done for each applicant living in the apartments. A felony conviction will not automatically disqualify your ability to rent as each case will be considered based on severity, time, etc. Your cooperation and honesty will allow you better service in your housing choices.

South Fork Apartments require you change the utilities into your name on the day of move in. The City of Gillette and Source Gas both require a deposit.

The City of Gillette requires a $200.00 deposit. The deposit can be waived if you have had service with a utility company for the past 12 months in your name, and if there were no more than 2 late payments. The phone number for the City of Gillette is 307-686-5206.

Source Gas bases their deposit on consumption of the unit. The average deposit can be $160.00 to $280.00. The deposit can be waived if you have a high credit score. Source Gas will run a credit report at no extra cost to the customer. If you have been a previous customer of Source Gas and you were in good standing, the deposit will be waived. If you have had service with another natural gas company in your name the previous 12 months, with good payment history, the deposit will be waived. The deposit at Source Gas does not have to be paid all at once. They will split up the deposit and include it on your monthly bill until it is paid off. You have to request this at the time you set up your account. The phone number for Source Gas is 1-800-563-0012.

South Fork Apartments has a separate water company. They will give you the number at the time of move in to set up your account. There is no deposit required for this service.
