Estimated available west-side energy from Basin Electric Power Cooperative

These values represent the estimated available energy posted in Mountain Standard Time and are subject to change due to real-time activities. This is the estimated amount of capacity available after load and operating reserve forecasts have been calculated.

*Surplus Capacity is calculated consistent with the FERC's order in San Diego Gas & Electric Company v. Sellers of Energy, et al., 95 FERC 61,418 (2001). 

Basin Electric's west-side available energy is marketed through its brokering agent, Rocky Mountain Generation Cooperative, Inc. (RMGC). RMGC may be reached for prescheduling services at 970.249.9325.

Twenty-four hour, real-time services for Basin Electric and RMGC are handled by Western Area Power Administration - Colorado River Storage Project, which may be reached at 800.378.6453.

Long-term contracts

RMGC is a brokering organization that aggregates the surplus electricity of its members and coordinates its sale. Other RMGC members include Wyoming Municipal Power Agency, Municipal Power Agency of Nebraska, Western and Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association.
